Yes, it's very nice to see some warm weather with wind. I have actually had 17 days of kiting or winging at Jericho in the last two months, but most of those days were with a hydrofoil. Most of us who kiteboard, wing, or windsurf here in the city are on hydrofoils.
Unfortunately the Jericho Sailing Centre wind meter is down while they reroof the building. It should by back mid May.
Be reminded that Vancouver lifeguards start on Victoria Day, May 22, and then the designated beach in Vancouver for kiteboarding is at the foot of Tolmie Street.
Squamish has stronger winds in the summer ..usually. Opening day there is May 13. You need to buy a membership to use the shuttle boat service. https://squamishwindsports.com/

rang them up , unfortunately, there weren't enough students ... how was today's session (May 14) for kitefoil, windfoil and wing foil? I was just looking at the live cam it seemed the wind was side-on then side-off .. only a single windfoiler did I see and a couple of kiters and most probably a windfoiler schlogging?

Anther nice day.. I have been on the water 5 of the last 7 days here at Jericho foiling. Several wingers, at least a dozen kitefoilers and a few windfoilers were out today. There was enough wind at a time for a couple of kite surfboarders too. CG
