There are after-market zipper stops that can be clamped/pinched onto the zipper track, made from a soft metal ( aluminium or painted mild-carbon steel ) so they may corrode if you don't rinse the salt water off and leave your suit wet for a long time.
Do you still have the zipper car or slider ? You will have to feed that back onto the zipper and get it working properly before installing the new stop. If the zipper car is broken ( not still running on the other side of the zipper track ) you'll need a replacement for it and get it back on both sides of the track, so the zipper track stop at the top of the right side will have to come off to load the new car back on, and then be replaced too.
If you prefer, send it to me and I will repair it for you, with the suit still in such good shape it would be a shame not to keep using it.
And remember, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade !

GregK wrote:I wouldn't replace the entire zipper, that would be over-kill ; if the last 1/2-inch of the zipper track where the top stop has been pulled off is damaged, I'd stitch on a fold-over of black webbing farther in where the track is still intact. That would do the same stopping function of the original molded-on plastic stop.
And no, I'm not in the Lower Mainland. CKR (Comox Kite Repair) is in Comox. Boxing up and mailing the suit to me would be the most economical way to get it here.

Gary mailing the suit to me in Comox will cost a lot less compared to a trip to Vancouver Island ( gas, ferry, etc ).
Fold the suit tightly and find a box just big enough for it to fit inside - cost to mail it from the Lower Mainland to Comox will only be around 18 - 20 $.
