Race board weight ?

Ok, after DonC did way better than me yesterday at Spanish Banks in very light wind I noticed that his Mikes lab board felt a lot lighter than mine (it couldn't have been skill :wink:

).

So I got out my luggage scale which seems pretty accurate and measured two boards, dry but with fins and foot straps attached.

my Aguera 2012 CR 69 with Rista fins: 18.7 lbs
Philippes North LTD 2011 with fins: 21.2 lbs (this board has a history of being water logged)

Anyone else have a scale?

CG. the trick is to have titanium fin bolts and foot strap screws.

My Mike's board, dry, with 5 NSI straps and Rista 42/39 fins weighs 16.1 lbs. That would be 2.6 lbs faster than your Augera

How about a " Speedo " with integrated hook.
Thats gotta shave some weight.

My 2013 North LTD race board weighs 18.0 lbs with straps and fins.

I have painted the inside of the fin box with two layers of epoxy and the fins are still loose.
Not impressed with that part of my new board.

Stan that sounds to heavy. There must be some water in it. Ha!
