What's the diameter and breaking load. Those look nice!

Comparable to the current harken and ronstan stainless blocks. Just better.

I just ordered one yesterday and it was sent out today.

Yup, I bought one from them last year. It took about 1 week to arrive into Vancouver. No tax, duty, or hold at the border since it's less than $20.

I'll take a photo of my new race bar that came stock with a 4:1 depower system and post it here. It's got two stainless pulley's at the top that I'm thinking I should replace with those fancy ones that Andy's got. :D

My new 4:1 setup. Seems to be working well. Although I need to mark the front lines left/right so the cleat doesn't end up facing down. Doh!

I have the same problem. Except that I think it might be better that way - I suspect that the line tangles a little less after tacks and loops.

You still want defined left and right because the front lines and cleat are static. Compounded by the fact that at the spit we rig the bars upside down. my kook proof set up.....

To splice the v I did a Brummell with a extra pass through so it locks in both directions and then left the "tail" un buried.

I think it should handle the load with no problem

ahh... gotcha.

I'm not sure if that splice will be strong enough or not, but I imagine it should be fine.

Alternatively, you can just have it go to one knot, then larkshead both front lines over the same knot. This is what we used to do on all kites.

Okay, finally posting the photo of my Royal Elite Race Bar.
Pros: 4:1 depower comes stock, has a flag out line, has a decent swivel, overall pretty satisfied with it so far
Cons: sheeting line is too short (see photo), the bottom "pulley" is just a hole in the clamcleat body, pull to release chicken loop

I would add an extension to that trim line, so it can at least touch the bar while riding fully powered.

Stan,

The easiest mod would be to lash on a small single block to where it goes through the hole in the cleat, and replace it with a longer lower stretch line while you are at it.

That would considerably reduce the friction.

Here's my new bar. No chicken loop?

Nice and clean. Running a shackle off the harness.
Next is a clean safety...

Colin, you should figure out how to taper the 3/16" amsteel into the 1/8"..... that would be clean....
