Here is happy news from the very happy SWS:
"CERP Update
We have been notified that the CERP team has received Transport Canada approval. They are currently waiting for their WSA section 11 approval but don't envision any delays on that. Their expectation is that they will be able to start work the first week of January.

The CERP team believes they will have enough time to complete the 300meter removal they have planned before the herring start running in the Spring. At that point, they will wait until after the windsport season to start any other work. Both the District of Squamish and the Squamish Nation have been clear that the windsport community needs access to the newly created island for our normal season. Once we figure out the logistics of moving people back and forth we don't anticipate any issues with all of you getting out on the water in 2022! "
