Visiting BC from New Zealand this coming summer. Spending 3 weeks or so on the island, around Ucluelet/Tofino
Experienced rider but only riding twin tip - not sure what size would be best? Appreciate any advice

I have limited experience there but I'd suggest you bring a bigger kite as the wind is often light.
The waves are very nice. And bring a wetsuit.

Tofino doesn't get that much wind in the summer so bring a big kite.

If you are willing to drive 1.5 hrs you could kite with a 9-12m kite + TT at Port Alberni almost every day of the summer due to thermal winds.

whereabouts in Port Alberni? just curious, Googled the place, lots of timber and I can't seem to find a launch site

China Creek campsite is a great place for kiting. It is near Port Alberni. You should book a campsite in advance

In town there is a launch at Canal Waterfront Park which looks pretty chill and one that looks rather advanced (you actually launch off a pier) closer at Harbour Quay Park, I've never been myself though.

best spot at nitinaht lake so if lucky for right time of nice weather
also each day camp cost 30 bucks around and u could meet alot new face people
or south of van island but high cost motel !

Don't come during new moon cycle ! expect good windy at squamish during most time sunny and rare cloud but no more one day pass ticket expect 5 days pass ticket
