I will be in China Creek campground next week with my 16 foot zodiac as well and I was looking for some tips/advise before I go:
- Launching spots? Any tips? - Lunching the boat and leaving it in the water overnight? (I'm very experienced however my girl just started to go upwind and she feels a lot better if I have the boat in the water)
You will find one general launching area. It's not sandy but it works. There is even a path into the water where some rocks have been cleared.. near the kite school. Ask anyone about it. Ask at the marina about your boat. I am sure they can accommodate it.
It's bigger and more upscale than Nitinat with nice washrooms and showers and propane tank exchange and ice available. The wind a similar to Nitinat but generally not quite as strong. I've been several times and always had good kiteboarding and winging.
