Boundary Bay 3rd Ave - Wednesday morning

Postby cglazier » Wed Apr 11, 2018 4:07 pm

We had a nice SE wind all morning and at least 30 kiters got on the water. 9m kites were about right (I was on a 7m and a bit underpowered).

Great to see so many keen kiters and lots of familiar faces.

Hi

Is boundry bay 3rd Ave still a valid/good place to kite? What should I look for in wind and tide to ride there? I've lived here all my life but just recently got into kiting. Looking for info or links. Thanks. Chris

Boundary Bay 3rd Ave is a great place to kite on S or SE wind. It is beginner friendly too.
Click on the links near the top of this page -Getting Started- and -Local Map- for helpful information.

The latest forecasts show good NW wind on Friday and Saturday so Spanish Banks or Ferry Terminal will be the best places then.

Hey, thanks for the info. What do you think it will look like for the ferry terminal tomorrow afternoon? Thinking of heading there.

Hi Wolfang..
Click on the Weather Link near the top of this page and check the forecasts.
You will see that there will be a good NW wind Sunday.
Now click on the links: Getting Started and Local Map to see which sites work best for NW wind.. (Spanish Banks or Tswassen Ferry Terminal).
