Here's the video from Dorian's visit to the Spit. I have no idea what they're saying in Dutch, but there are some cool shots of Squamish in there. (Except for Andy's rear end almost making a cameo appearance at 7:15 of the video...) http://nos.nl/video/424297-van-rijsselberghe-weer-een-rookie.html
I saw this video last week and since I'm Dutch, here's what I remember.
Basically, he won gold in windsurfing in this years olympics. Next olympics he's competing in kitesurfing.
He had never done any kitesurfing and he just spent two weeks learning it in Squamish. He said he thought he, if he could spend 2 months on the water every day, would be as fast as the top kite racers in the world. They're also mentioning his advantages to other kite racers. He's got a whole team around him with lots of experience, money, logistics etc and he said the race tactics are the same as in windsurfing.
Also they're talking about how great conditions at Squamish are, that it's a great outdoors town, nice vibe at the spit and that fellow racers are happy to share their knowledge to help him get better and to get to know the ins and outs of the kite gear.
