I have an old Naish Custom Fish kite surfboard from 2010 that has survived the years and travels well until Air Transat got a hold of it a couple weeks ago and dropped it on it's tail on the way back from Cabarete. I had a wetsuit double wrapped around the tail section for protection but it still got crushed . Pics below, any suggestions for best repair options? Thanks.

Make sure you lodge a baggage damage report within one week of the flight! I did and I just got a check from Air Transat for the retail value of a new surfboard plus tax (less 25% because I didn't have my original receipt). So, the damage sucks but I was pretty impressed as how easy it was to get re-imbursed for what I think is a reasonable amount. I had to call Air Transat after lodging the damage report though... they didn't follow up with me. But in the end they paid up so that's good.
Wow. I am glad you said something. I did not even know that was a possibility. Just filled out the form and need to take a picture of damage. Thanks!!!!!!
Simply WOW. All these years of travelling and I had no idea they were responsible. Cheque arrived today for the full amount I paid for the foil including shipping. Ordered a tube of ' Solarez' from Amazon ( Amazing UV activated epoxy) and repaired hole in 20 min.
