I've got gear and have done dry land lessons. Looking for someone to help me get going in the water. I'm on Skaha Lake in Penticton. Any volunteers or suggestions? I'm happy to pay for lessons.
Hey just curious if you found lessons in penticton. I am also new at kite boarding, and would like to hook up with someone that would help me out. I have taken 3 lessons in Squamish 3 years ago but was too busy to get at it after. I'm willing to pay for a few hrs of someone's time also. Can call me. 250-719-7237 Name is Ryan. I live in penticton. Cheers
I'm in Kelowna and there are few if any riders here willing to give up a session to teach. Check out the Facebook group for Okanagan kiteboarding, you might have better luck.
Please, please, please! Do not just take "lessons" from any random kiter who can ride. Kiteboarding can be extremely dangerous, and should only be taught by certified instructors. If you do not get iko certified as in independent kiteboarder, you are a huge risk and extremely dangerous to the safety of yourself and others.
You do not give car keys to someone who does not have their license to just go out and drive and figure it out themselves! This should be treated no differently.
If you choose to do so without the proper instruction/certification you are giving the sport and community a bad reputation!
Spend the money, get certified, so you can safely enjoy this sport we all love without risking the safety of everyone around you!
