When the wind is 10 knots then hydrofoils can go kiting, but twin tips typically need over 13 knots.
The tide started inflowing at noon today and it is often 3 knots.. so if the wind was 10 then the net apparent wind at Spanish Banks was only 7 knots.
Another good site to check is YVR which was showing 7 knots WSW all afternoon. This means that there really wasn't much overall push and what we saw at Jericho was local thermal wind. This wind often doesn't extend very far beyond the shore.
We shall see tomorrow. If there is wind I will be there.
